Régulateur is a new free app for setting your watch. If you like to set your timepiece precisely down to the second then it is for you. It includes common complications; day, date, month, day/night, leap year, moon phase, and second time zone. Most importantly, it has something the iPhone’s clock app does not have - a large seconds hand. Plus, there’s no need to visit a blog or online shop to use it. The developer made this app for himself and uses it daily.

Today’s watches keep time so well that another source of truth is needed to set them accurately. The iPhone is perfect for this since it is accurate to within 10s of milliseconds but the included app does not have a seconds hand.

The app is filled with little and fun details just like the best watches. Adjust the second timezone complication to see the tiny globe change hemisphere. The moon phase complication shows the number of days since the last new moon. The leap year complication shows the progress in the four year cycle. Even as the day/night indicator rotates its moon will always stay upright in the sky. In the settings you can theme the app to match your watch of the day; even to a trendy light blue color.
